Our first poster will be Hamilton's East-End Incline Railway. Other images will be posted on this site as they become available. 

 This poster of the East-End Incline Railway is from our popular Prints Across the Mountain book.

 Built in 1895, it was a novel and economic form of transportation and provided a fascinating view of the city of Hamilton.

 The popularity of the automobile contributed to the demise of this incline in 1936, but not before an estimated 20,000,000 trips were made up and down the mountain.
